What are the different methods of pneumatic conveying materials?

Pressure conveying
Pressure conveying, also known as positive conveying, is the process of using compressed air to "push" bulk materials through pipelines. For example, cement flows from silos into pipelines. At the starting point of the pneumatic conveying process, compressors or blowers move the cement through long pipelines or hoses (even certain types of elbows). These compressors or blowers can be either stationary or mobile. This method is particularly suitable for conveying over long distances.
Vacuum conveying, also known as negative conveying, is the process of "suctioning" bulk materials through pipelines using compressed air. In this method, the compressor or blower is positioned at the end of the process. One advantage is the absence of contact between the compressed air and the conveyed material, thus eliminating potential contamination. Additionally, the product is not affected by the heat generated during the air compression process. However, this method has a limited conveying distance.
